Data Handling Powerpoint Presentations

Why do we use Statistics

Why do we need Statistics and what is it?

Statistics is the branch of Mathematics that you know in keystage 3 and 4 as Data Handling. With the wonders of the internet we have been able to gather together a range of presentations to help you in this area of mathematics and hopefully make understanding easier.

A good place to start would be to click the picture above, this leads you into a presentation on why we use statistics and has you thinking along those lines to begin with.

In order to view these presentations you must have Microsoft Powerpoint on your computer, if you dont there is a freeware Open Office which your parents can download. Open Office will open and allow you to work with files saved using Microsoft Office (to download it click here).

Alternatively your parents can download a Powerpoint View from Microsoft (to download it click here).
